Useful Links

Over the years I have come across a number of excellent suppliers and various other  companies or websites that are either useful or just plain entertaining, so I thought I'd list a few of them here for your reference. Some are clients of course . . .

Just click on the company names to go to the relevant website.

Trazzler
A travel website with a difference. This site focuses on 'traveller experiences' - little snapshots of the world as told through the eyes of someone who has experienced a particular aspect of a place first hand. Great for getting ideas about your next trip - but then I'm biased as I write for them!

Shine Creative
The best creative design agency I have ever come across. I use them for all my design work and have done for six years - and they are a client as well. I would recommend them to anyone.

Inkon Printing
They work closely with Shine and are the most professional and reliable printing company I have ever worked with. Again, I would definitely recommend them for all types of printing work. Their website is being redeveloped at the moment, but give them a call anyway, you won't regret it!

SJD Accountancy
A specalist firm that works with contractors and freelancers like myself. They really do understand what it's like to work for yourself and why the support you need is different.

Cognisant Associates
Cognisant specialise in marketing and business consultancy and also in Search Engine Optimisation, so if you need help with any of these areas, especially website optimisation, click here. I work with Cognisant to write SEO copy for websites and also to carry out marketing audits for some of their clients.

Freelancer UK
A website for people who freelance, full of advice, support and useful information for people who work for themselves.

Cortijo Valverde
An ex industry colleague of mine bought this fantastic little hotel in southern Spain two years ago. If you're looking for somewhere to stay that's tranquil and off the beaten track, but still not a million miles away from well-known resorts like Malaga and Marbella, this is the place to go!

MrSite
This website was created using MrSite, a 'do it yourself' website tool. It does take a little bit of time to get used to the software but once you have, you can create relatively complex websites very easily. I'd definitely recommend them if you are looking for a cost-effective website option. And of course, I can write it for you!

iStockphoto
An image library that anyone can contribute to (including me!). Images are high quality and very cost effective if you need to purchase shots for any marketing purposes. The site contains a wide selection of images and an easy-to-use search function.

Lost in Translation
This site relates to two books which Charlie Croker has written, are all about the wonderful misuse of English abroad. The books are brilliant and well worth a read, and the website is also extremely entertaining.

My Photo Gallery!
I'm going to add this to the website one of these days, but for now you can access it here. My hobby is photography (the shot of the monkey at the top of this website is mine) and I occasionally manage to sell a few pics online, but with digital cameras and the internet, it's a very competitive business these days!

Photobox
I use these guys for all my online photo printing requirements. They are very efficient, the quality is great and the turnaround is very fast. Their gift items are really good quality as well.
